ARRSEPedia extract

Gangster Walts

This sub-group often lie about being involved with notorious criminals, doing drive-by shootings, heists, drug dealing, and growing up in 'The Hood' with their 'Homies'. In reality their only transgressions of the law are ASBOs, the odd parking fine and dealing aspirins to under 8s. This, however, does not prevent them from larging it about housing estates and gobbing off to complete strangers in a bizarre Jamaican patois, even though they've never left Ashford and are whiter than Billy Connoly on a sun lounger.......
Hello ARRSErs past and present,

Welcome to the first ever Army Rumour Service newsletter, long overdue and hopefully worth the wait. Whether you're a regular or not, we hope you'll enjoy the content of this newsletter and please do give us feedback. On with the show!

For those who haven't been on the site for a while, the big news of course is that after years of undetected (alleged) copyright abuse the good folks at Hasbro finally pulled the plug on Mr Potato Head. Needless to say a period of soul searching ensued followed by a competition which included some excellent (and nighmarish from the Butler) suggestions by the assorted ARRSE 'massive' before we came up with the incredibly original Mr Mushroom Head (above). Congratulations and thanks to Lord_Flasheart for the draft design and Legs for the original idea. Both contributed their prize money to charity, so £225 to the RBL and £75 to HfH.

If you have been on the site recently then you're probably up to speed with most of what is happening on the site; our recent battles with the evil Chinese footwear spammers, the incredibly long lived Baron Castleshortt threads, ARRSE's very own glamour model wannabee and the excellent fundraising efforts of the Holidays4Heroes volunteers.

Other developments include further expansion of the boards to include crazy foreigners and a bigger TA bit including a dedicated sub-board on joining. Other new boards cover shooting sports, motoring and the bizarrely popular..... cooking. Want the perfect egg banjo? You know where to look.

Now some bits and pieces:

ARRSE Functions

Did you know that that there is a PDA/phone friendly version of the ARRSE forums

Blast from the Past - 2004

Surely one of the greatest tales published on ARRSE - Stumpy the Wonder Dog

Admin / Mod Request

Please don't overuse the quote button. If you do quote then delete irrelevant bits. More and more people use small screens to access the site and reading the same long post over and over is a right pain in the ARRSE.

Next ARRSE Social

The next ARRSE social looks promising for the August bank holiday in the South West. It gets a big vague there, but there are already plenty of names on the list.

That's All Folks
