Advertising Terms, Conditions and the Small Print

Nature of Content

We make all reasonable effort to ensure that our community sites do not contain pornographic material, extremist views, racism etc. However because of the nature of our audience some site content is permitted that might elsewhere be considered offensive.

For a full discussion of our policies please read the forum post here. If you have any objection to site content it will be removed according to these policies, and common sense.

Direct Contract Advertising (Adverts and agreement direct via Olive Net Ltd)

Our General Principles

It is in our interests to build long term relationships with advertisers particularly as we do not charge a set-up fee. We therefore go to great lengths to ensure good prices, a good service and common sense, amicable resolution of any problems. We are always open to suggestions of ways to use the site to the benefit of advertisers.

Payment

We normally ask for payment at the time of booking. For large established companies or long term clients we offer monthly billing in arrears. Please contact us to discuss this.

Refunds

Ad campaigns may be cancelled at any time and a pro rata refund given for remaining impressions.

Editorial Protection

It may be that users begin discussing an advertiser and this results in negative publicity. We do not guarantee editorial protection in such a case although this is normally given. This has happened in the case of a financial company, but the issue was solved by their response and our editorial action. They continue to advertise with us.

Service

The internet is not 100% reliable and we therefore cannot guarantee 100% 'up time'. However we do guarantee no loss in your booked ad impressions as a result of loss of site service.

Changes in Our Sites and Advertising Model

From time to time we may change the placement of our adverts and the design of out sites. We will endeavour to ensure than no such change has any negative impact on advertising and believe that all past changes have been positive. If you are unsatisfied with any such change we will discuss price adjustment with you, or of course you are entitled to a pro rata refund.

Advertising via Google

If placing advertisements on our site via Google Adwords the T&Cs are available from Google
